Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Hello!

My name is Christopher Gasper, and I am the new Coordinator of Youth Ministry here at Prince of Peace! I am extremely excited for this opportunity to serve the youth and walk with them on their journey towards Christ!

A little about me, I am a Dallas native, born and raised, but still familiarizing myself with Plano! I grew up going to Mary Immaculate Catholic School in Farmers Branch, even competing against POP in sports! I then attended and graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School in 2019. Finally, bookending my educational career at Texas A&M, where I graduated in December 2023.

Throughout my collegiate years, I gained experience in youth ministry while residing amongst the piney trees in East Texas at The Pines Catholic Camp! I served as a counselor for a couple summers and then took on the role of Head Male, overseeing the spiritual and logistical needs of the men on staff. Here, I found true joy, community, and fulfillment being surrounded by devoted staff members and enthusiastic campers.

Back at Texas A&M, I volunteered with Ablaze Ministries as a middle school Core Team Member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bryan, TX. It was my first step into parish youth ministry and a joy to continue to work alongside the youth while away from camp and at school.

I am one of six children and enjoy spending time with my family. I am blessed to have the majority of my them reside here in the Dallas area with me.

Again, I am very excited to be a part of the community here at Prince of Peace! I look forward to meeting many of you and to settling into this great parish. I’m eager to see what God has in store for the youth and Prince of Peace community! Please feel free to reach out or introduce yourself!
